A Full Day Workshop at Deep Learning Indaba

Following previously successful workshops (2022, 2023, 2024), the Data Science For Health in Africa (DS4Health) workshop will be returning this year to Deep Learning Indaba happening at Kigali, Rwanda on 21st August, 2025 as a full day workshop. As healthcare experience significant transformations due to advancements in data analytics and deep learning, this workshop seeks to bridge the gap and empower stakeholders in Africa's healthcare ecosystem by bring together researchers, practitioners, and healthcare professionals to explore how deep learning can enhance healthcare outcomes across the continent.

Our goals for the workshop are to :

  • Celebrate/spotlight data science research in health from African researchers.
  • Bring together researchers and communities working on Digital Health related problems across Africa through data science.
  • Promoting collaboration across traditional and emerging research efforts in data science for health in Africa.
  • Establish sustainable partnerships between healthcare practitioners and data scientists.
